Tanjore, as an Art form, is both ancient and gorgeous. But the practitioners of Tanjore often make paintings so large that it's hard to make the pieces in smaller canvases. In addition, the traditional Tanjore paintings are done using gold foil, which makes it rather expensive to make.

We, at Art'zire, have tried to retain the intricacy of the Art form and yet, make it afforadable enough for the general populace to make. Come, learn with us, how to make Tanjore style jewellery on pendants and earrings you can wear..........

Rules:

1. The registration fees has to be paid in advance to confirm your seat.

Polymer Clay Jhumka Workshop (Chennai) Announcement (Dec. 9, 2018)

If you've always wanted to make royal looking jhumkas out of polymer clay, this is your chance to try one, with Art'zire guiding you through the process.......

Date: Dec. 9, 2018 (Sunday)
Timing: 3 pm to 7 pm
Fees: Rs. 4500
Venue: Mylapore, Chennai

We will provide tea/coffee as a break.........

Loose course outline:

Students are expected to know how to work with polymer clay already. We will be very cursorily covering ONLY the safety aspects of working with polymer clay.

We will teach two (and if we have time, three) types of jhumkas. The technique of primary focus is stacked filigree and jhumka making. We will NOT be either teaching or entertaining queries/training for any other aspect of working with polymer clay/other media.

Guidelines:

Kindly bring your notebooks to take notes

Partial registration for the workshop is NOT allowed. Participants are not expected to bring any material with them. All material will be provided. It's a make-and-take workshop but all tools are to be RETURNED.

Advance payment of 100% of the workshop fee is mandatory for confirmation of participation. 50% of the fees amount paid will ONLY be adjusted against an order placed at Art'zire. In case of no-show, refund requests will not be entertained.
